No fewer than 20,966 Nigerian health workers relocated abroad within one year, according to the State of Health of the Nation Report 2025. 

The figure includes thousands of doctors, nurses, midwives and other specialists, with the UK, US, Canada and Saudi Arabia as top destinations.

Wigwe University, ex-workers clash over alleged arbitrary sackings and abuse

Former employees of Wigwe University have accused the institution of mass dismissals, intimidation and administrative high-handedness. 

Affected staff claim terminations occurred without due process. The university disputes the claims as civil society groups demand an independent investigation.

Atiku hits back at Obasanjo: Don’t exploit late Na’Abba’s death

Ex-VP Abubakar has accused ex-President Obasanjo of exploiting the memory of the late former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Na’Abba, for political purposes.

Atiku said Obasanjo’s claim that he bribed the late Na’Abba to orchestrate moves to impeach him as president while they were in office amounted to lies and disrespect to the dead.
